Out of Many

Almost a year-and-a-half after the pandemic emptied out streets and shuttered nightlife, New York came roaring back to life. To show how reanimated the city had become, I created a series of large format long exposures. Each image was exposed for a minute-and-a-half, a reference to the year-and-a-half isolation. By leaving the lens open for so long, the movements of individual elements transform into a collective blur of motion and activity.
