This body of work examines the signscape along Lee Avenue, a 3⁄4-mile long high street of a Satmar Hasidic enclave in North Brooklyn. Photographs of the storefronts along its 14 blocks were incorporated into a map and companion field guide that examine the neighborhood and its history through the lens of public signage.
